Bentonville Newborn Studio Photography | Light & Timeless Family of Four

There is something so quietly beautiful about those early days of becoming a family of four, the gentle adjustment, the new rhythms, the way love seems to stretch effortlessly to make room for one more.

This sweet family stepped into the studio with a softness that carried through every moment of their session. Their wardrobe couldn’t have been more perfect: Light, neutral tones with the most delicate textures, creating a timeless and cohesive look that allowed their connection to take center stage. From baby George’s soft, classic knit to big sister’s darling dress (made for twirling), every detail felt thoughtfully chosen without ever feeling overdone.

George did so well throughout his time in the studio. He stayed calm and content, resting in mom’s and dad’s arms, quietly taking in the world around him. He didn’t sleep much, but there was something so special about that. His bright eyes open, already so aware. He only needed a short break for a quick snack, and then he was right back to being his easygoing self.

Meanwhile, big sister Blakely brought the most joyful energy. She explored every corner of the studio with curiosity and delight, and when she began to twirl in her dress, it felt like everything came to life. Those little spins, her outstretched arms, the pure happiness on her face... Those are the moments that add such heart to a session. She embraced her role beautifully, in her own playful way.

While I truly love in-home sessions and the personal feel they bring, there is something about the consistent, luminous light in the studio that makes sessions like this feel especially refined. The simplicity of the setting, paired with such intentional wardrobe choices, creates an environment where nothing distracts from what matters most—the people, their connection, and the season they are in.

And what a meaningful season this is. Not long ago, this was a family of three. Now, they are four. growing, adjusting, and stepping into something entirely new together. Being invited to document that transition is something I hold with great care.

These are the fleeting, in-between days, the ones that feel slow and fast all at once. And they are always worth remembering.
